They have been carefully designed to be lightweight, compact, and, ultimately, stealthy. They’ve also been built to last, ready to work alongside all the other long-lasting components such as the Gates Carbon belt drive, to bring Tenwayers years of smooth riding joy. Let's get down to the details There are two hub motors powering various TENWAYS models, the Mivice M070, and the TENWAYS C9. The M070 sits in the Lightweight City series CGO600 Pro, CGO600 and CGO800S e-bikes, and features a patented clutch mechanism, that provides reduced internal friction and enhanced efficiency compared to many e-bike hub motors – both crucial factors in delivering that signature smooth ride.The motor is crafted from automobile-grade materials, selected for its excellent durability. Care has been taken during the design process to perfectly balance all the mechanical and performance considerations – the motor's weight, size, and ability to provide needed power assistance to riders in a nuanced and responsive way. The result is a hub motor weighing only 1.7kg, and with an outer diameter of 80mm – the size of a typical 8-speed internal dynamo hub. The production methods for these hubs are at the top of the game. Each motor is 100% built by automated processes, to minimize the risk of human error and ensure absolute consistency and quality. The precision during assembly is at a micron level, helping to ensure the hub's quiet operation, at less than 55 decibels – that's equivalent to the sound of an electric toothbrush. Ultrasonic, automated internal welding adds to the motor's enhanced durability – this is a process that produces a clean, tight seal with zero seams or welding points, for a super-durable bond.
